CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITY ENDED AT WAYE FOUNDATION

The one-week capacity building training for one hundred (100) persons with disabilities from the 17 local government council of the state organized by Plateau Disability Right Commission and Waye Foundation ended on a high note with the Vice President Waye Foundation in attendance.

The ceremony features goodwill massages from the leadership of Waye foundation, Plateau Disability Right Commission and the trainees. In their messages they all stressed the need for society to empower persons living with disabilities, so they can be self-reliant and be able to care for themselves and their families.

The major highlights of the event includes a display of the products made by the trainees during the training, A goodwill massage by the Founder of Waye foundation represented by the vice President Mrs Adama Pam, Presentation of certificates and N50,000 grant to all participants.

In closing the participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the workshop and training, assuring them that they will put to practice the skills they acquired here and will also judiciously use the grant money given to them.

This training was conducted in line with the objective of Waye foundation of alleviating poverty and empowering women and the youths to become self-reliant not neglecting persons with disabilities. As we continue to fight poverty in our community and nation.
