Waye Foundation trains 170 women in partnership with Millennium Development Goals (MDG’S) Plateau State

Millennium Development Goals (MDG’S) Plateau State support unit with Waye Foundation is organizing a capacity development program for 170 women drawn from the 17 local government area of plateau state through skills acquisition and business management training.

The official opening ceremony and flag off of this program at Waye Foundation was well attended by officials of the foundation, The MDG’s and the beneficiaries. The areas of skill acquisition training for these women will span through catering, crafts, knitting, tailoring, fabric dyeing etc.

In line with the goals and objectives of both Waye foundation and the MDGs to reduce poverty and empower women and youths, this training workshop will surly achieve this aim and help reduce unemployment in the state.

The event was closed with an “Award of Honor” for the Founder of Waye Foundation Ngo, Talatu Jang for her effort in empowering women and youths in the state. The award was received by Ms Doraty Jang (President Waye Foundation) on her behave and thanked the MGD’s for the award and promise that the foundation will continue to do more.

The training will commence on the 15th of February 2015 which will elapse for 2month and at each end of the month, all participant will be given 10,000 each, free accommodation and feeding.
